Spice Cookie – Get the recipe: See description below

Ingredients

½ cup of Vegetable oil
5 Tbsp (brimful) of Butter
2 cups of Flour
1 Egg Yolk (Yolk for the filling, White for the top)
2 Tbsp of Vinegar
2 tsp of Salt
1 Tbsp of Granulated Sugar
1 tsp of Thyme
1 tsp of Powdered Red Pepper
1 pack (10 g – 2 tsp) of Baking Powder

FOR THE TOPPING:
1 Egg White
2 Tbsp of Sesame
1 Tbsp of Black Cumin

Directions

1- Add all ingredients -except the flour- into a mixing bowl,
2- Add some flour and begin working.
3- Keep adding the flour in slowly.
4- When you get a soft and non-sticky dough, stop working.
5- Cover the bowl with a stretch film and leave the dough to rest for 15 minutes.
6- Once the dough has rested, pick up walnut-size pieces and roll them in your palm, then put them in the tray.
7- Score the cookies you have placed in the tray, with a knife.
8- Rub the egg white that you have put aside.
9- After rubbing the egg white, sprinkle sesame seeds followed by black cumin.
10- Bake them until golden brown in an oven heated at 180 °C / 350 °F

NOTE: Do not disturb the cookies in the tray while it is still hot as they will be soft to touch till they cool off.
