Puff Pastry Shells Filled with Milk Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

20 of Puff Pastry (Mille-Feuille)
1 Egg Yolk

FOR THE MILK PUDDING:
3 cups of Milk
1 cup of Granulated Sugar
3 Tbsp of Starch
1 pack of Vanilla (5 g – 1 tsp)

FOR THE TOPPING:
Strawberry
Instant/ready Chocolate Sauce

NOTE: You can alternatively decorate it in different ways, using for instance kiwi, mandarin, fruit sauce, coconut.

Directions

1- Cut out the puff pastry with a large round form/mould. (You can also cut it with a cup.)
2- Cut the half of the pastry (that you have already cut roundly) again with a one size smaller round mould. (You can cut it with a teacup, as well.)
3- Stick the thin ring/circle that you have cut out, against the other round pastry and rub yolk over them.
4- Make holes in the middle with a fork and bake them in a 180 °C / 350 °F oven for 15 minutes.
5- While the pastry is baked, put a pot on the heat to prepare the pudding.
6- Add the ingredients required for the custard, into the pot and mix until they cook.
7- After the pudding has cooked, let it cool off.
8- Add the lukewarm pudding into the baked and cooled puff pastry shell.
9- You can use any fruit and sauce of your choice, to decorate the puff pastry shells with milk pudding.
