Ingredients
For the cake:
3 Eggs
1 cup of Sugar
1 cup of Yogurt
1 cup of Semolina
1 cup of Flour
½ cup of Vegetable oil
1 pack (5 g) (1 tsp) of Vanilla
1 pack (10 g) (2 tsp) of Baking Powder
For the syrup:
3 cups of Water
3 cups of Sugar
Half a Lemon Juice
Directions
1- To prepare the syrup; put a pot on the stove and let the sugar and water boil.
2- Add the juice of half a lemon to the boiling syrup and boil for another 5 minutes.
3- To prepare the cake; add sugar and egg into a mixing bowl and beat (whisk).
4- Then, add the remaining ingredients and beat well.
5- Spread the dough evenly in the greased ovenware.
6- Bake it in the oven heated up to 325°F / 170°C until golden brown on top and it settles down (about 30-35 minutes).
7- After removing the cake from the oven, pour in the cold syrup 2 minutes later.
8- Once it is left to rest for 2-3 hours, you can serve your dessert, either plain or with sprinkles of coconut or with ice cream or cream.
