Milk Kataifi Rolls in Cup – Get the recipe: See description below

Ingredients

500 g of Kataifi
150 g (10 Tbsp) of Butter
100 g (1 cup) Coarsely Chopped Walnuts

For syrup:
720 ml (3 cups) of Milk
800 g (4 cups) of Granulated (White) Sugar
480 ml (2 cups) of Water
A few drops of Lemon juice

For the topping:
Powdered Pistachios or Walnuts

Directions

1- Put water and sugar in a pot to prepare the syrup.
2- Add a few drops of lemon juice just before it comes to boil.
3- Add the milk 5 minutes after boiling, keep stirring until it comes to boil once and let it to col down.
4- Tease the kataifi by hand and soak it in melted butter thoroughly.
5- Put the kataifi in a cup, overflowing off the edges.
6- Put the walnuts in the middle and fold the edges over.
7- Press down with your hand until it feels tight.
8- Place them in tray nice and tight and bake in the oven preheated to 180 °C / 350 °F, until golden brown.
9- Add the syrup all over the kataifi once it is taken out of the oven. Kataifi should be hot, and the syrup should be lukewarm and rest for 1-2 hours.
10- Sprinkle crushed walnuts or powdered pistachios on top before you serve.
